Generally I have that view on most games I play, and especially shmups. Instead, I come back to Ikaruga because of the rush and the feel of the game. I personally had no expectations when I first started playing it and was rewarded with a game that has great aesthetics, amazing music and especially extremelly good gameplay.Ī lot of people love the game because of the scoring, and even if I love the chaining in Ikaruga, I don't come back to it because of that. Tbh I'm glad I learned about the game by myself without having to deal with the whole fight and the hype over how good the game is that has ruined the enjoyment out of many players. The different situations the game puts you into are fun, exciting and fresh, not only that but they have that "getting into the zone" vibe I love from Treasure. The polarity mechanic is simple but is really fun to use. Personally I love the game because it has a really great feel. I mean, if it's not your thing then it isn't. ![]()
